Testimonials

I've lived in Maine all my life (62 years) and have frequented many ski shops. A few years ago I was refered to Arlberg Ski & Sport Shops by an avid skier. All I can say is WOW! The knowledge of the staff and the service is akin to first tracks on a powder day - awesome! It is such a pleasure doing business at the Arlberg.

Just wanted to say thanks. Oh, and I've never skied better with my new ski's and boot's.

Happy Skiing! Bob Vrilberg, Scarborough, ME

I have been skiing for over 40 years. In my youth I was a ski instructior and a member of the National Ski Patrol at the local mountain where I grew up. What I have found most important in a ski shop is a sales staff that are themselves avid skiers, know the equipment they sell, and have the ability to listen to the cutomer. You can expect a true and honest evaluation from all their staff. I have found over the past 12 years that the Arlberg staff has always listened and have never recomended a more expensive package.

The owner John Rock and all of his staff (most of all Marc Whitaker) should be commended for their excellent business ethics, professionalism, and dedication to the customer. I would recomend the Arlberg to anyone and will continue to be a loyal customer myself.

Sincerely, Gil and Joan Couture, Portland ME

I look forward to starting every ski season by going to the Arlberg. I can always depend on the staff and John and Sandy Rock to be consistent and friendly. When you have a family like ours (5 kids), and all of us love to ski, going to a local shop that has been in Maine since we all started skiing 15 years ago and having the staff help us get the best mileage out of our equipment purchases and trade-ins for the kids has helped make this sport a family tradition and one we've been able to afford!

...and most importantly it has the most helpful staff you could imagine! Why else would we travel two and a half hours to go to a ski shop?

Jim was one of the managers and he helped my friends and I. He was full of knowledge, had great stories and advice; and most importantly was honest about the products. He explained why it was worth spending an extra thiry bucks on better snowboarding boots and even compared it to the equivalent of a night out drinking. Talk about an analogy you could relate to!

Everyone I saw that walked into the store was given individual attention, whether they were a serious buyer or just browsing. It is service like that which would make me come back here instead of going to one of the many larger ski shops back in Boston.

My son and I set out to buy new ski boots. Our goal was to shop three stores in order to hear what all the sales people recommended. Not only did Arlberg have a better selection, but the sales people here had the best knowledge. Thanks Again!
